Pacewell ("we," "us," "the App") is published by Franck Hernandez. This policy explains what information Pacewell collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Pacewell iOS app and covers every region we operate in, including the additional rights granted under the EU/UK GDPR and Canada's PIPEDA where they apply to you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never share health data with advertising or analytics providers. Both commitments are explained in detail below.
Account & identity. Pacewell does not use accounts, usernames, passwords, or sign-in with Apple/Google — we never ask for your name or email. When you first open the App, we create an anonymous profile identified by a random ID. To bring that same profile back automatically if you reinstall the App or move to a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, Pacewell stores a randomly generated key in your device's iCloud Keychain — an Apple mechanism, encrypted end-to-end, readable only by your own devices. We never receive this key in a form that identifies you: our servers only ever see a one-way cryptographic hash of it, never your Apple ID, name, or email.
Profile & goals. Birthdate, height, weight, sex, activity level, running goal (e.g. first 5K, first 10K, running regularly), preferred training days, and the obstacle/motivation you selected during onboarding.
Running activity. Distance, duration, pace, route (GPS), heart rate (only if a paired watch provides it), your post-run mood and perceived effort if you choose to log them, and best-effort weather conditions at the time of your run.
Nutrition. Meals you log (by photo, voice, barcode, or manual entry), their calorie and macro/micronutrient values, and your daily water intake.
Photos. Photos you take of a meal to log it are stored so you can review your history later. You choose what to photograph — we never access your photo library beyond the single image you pick or capture.
Voice. If you describe a meal by voice, the recording is transcribed entirely on your device (Apple's on-device speech recognition) and the audio itself is never uploaded or sent to us or to any third party.
Health data (Apple Health). With your explicit permission, Pacewell can write completed runs to Apple Health and read your heart rate from a paired device to enrich a run's summary. This is entirely optional and controlled by the Health permissions you grant.
Usage & device data. Screens viewed, features used, and general app behavior (via PostHog), and — only after you consent to tracking when prompted — an advertising identifier used to measure which marketing campaign led to your install (via AppsFlyer).
Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription and which plan, managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card number — Apple or Google handles payment directly.
